The Mental Health Commission of Canada now has a website which can be found at http://www.mentalhealthcommission.ca/.

Currently the website outlines a call for application to the Board of Directors to the Commission as well as outlining current information on the formation of the Commission.

I encourage all who are interested in applying to become a Board Member to put their name forward prior to the deadline date of July 15, 2007.

National Network for Mental Health is proud to announce that its BUILT Network Project has been recognized nationally for excellence in learning from the Canadian Council on Learning. The international meeting of the International Initiative on Mental Health Leadership is fast approaching.

On May 17, 2007, the Honorable Michael Kirby, Canada's first Commissioner of the Mental Health Commission of Canada, gave a speech at the Empire Club in Toronto, Ontario.

Thanks to the Mood Disorders Society of Canada www.mooddisorderscanada.ca that speech is available to the readers of the NNMH Bulletin.

This is a must read for all parties interested in the focus of the Commission and the Commissioner's views.
