On February 15, 2008, the Mental Health Commission of Canada announced the appointment of new President and Chief Executive Officer, Michael Howlett. Mr. Howlett brings with him a lengthy history of service to the private and public sector which will benefit the Mental Health Commission of Canada as it moves forward.

In February our BUILT Network project in New Westminster B.C. was featured on Vancouver Chinese television and radio news stations news as well as Chinese and Korean newspapers detailing the services which we are providing for new Canadians in the community. The organization continues to operate on the generous contributions of donors and through government grants and agreements. In April of 2007, Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced that the Government of Canada had reached an agreement with the four private and public sector partners to establish The Canadian Museum for Human Rights as a national Museum to be located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
