In April of 2007, Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced that the Government of Canada had reached an agreement with the four private and public sector partners to establish The Canadian Museum for Human Rights as a national Museum to be located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In October, 2007 the Minister of Canadian Heritage appointed an Advisory Committee for the Museum to advise on the planning of the museum. This Committee wishes to
hear Canadians' thoughts and opinions and, as such, has launched a consultation process.

before March 15, 2008, to submit comments on The Canadian Museum for Human Rights. I also invite you to forward this information to any other groups and individuals who may have a direct interest in the Museum and who may want to participate in this survey.

Friends of The Canadian Museum for Human Rights believes it's important for the voices of all Canadians to be heard so I hope you and others will participate in this public consultation process. Again, I thank you for your interest and your support for the Museum and hope that you will continue to stay engaged.
