Purpose:	CCD is a human rights organization of people with disabilities working toward the achievement of an accessible and inclusive Canada
Structure:	CCD is a non-profit organization whose members are provincial and national organizations of people with disabilities that have advocacy as their primary purpose.
Funding:	CCD receives funding from the Federal government, foundations, memberships fees and donations from members of the public.
Best Practices:	CCD applies a human rights analysis to devise solutions to the barriers experienced by Canadians with disabilities.
Challenges:	Overcoming ableism, systemic barriers to the full and equal participation of participation of persons with disabilities and an increasingly negative attitude in Canada toward human rights.
